My cuddly friends,

This morning I googled myself. That is how desperately bored I am. I secretly have a terrible complex about my lack of internet presence, although this is in reality a just tribute to my reserved-ness. No MySpace, no Facebook, no awards or articles. Nada. Nothing (to quote an overzealous Giuliani). So, periodically, in moments of more-than-usual ennui, I google myself. Today, an entry actually popped up. “Boy oh boy,” I thought. “My time has come! I am no longer an irrelevant speck on the face of the earth. No no, today I am inducted into the ranks of the other self-important individuals who thrust themselves into public view.” You can only imagine my ecstasy! Here is what I found, and on www.urbandictionary.com, en plus:

I do not understand my life. I just don’t. Seriously, this is how I am to be known on the World Wide Web? This is the riveting aspect of my being that compelled another to write me up, to put me out there? It could not be my fiery intellect or scintillating wit (go with me on this one), but my darned boobies? Those cumbersome stacks of fat and flesh! I cringe, I cringe. This is why I dressed like a member of the male gender for so long. Perhaps a reversion is in order? Also, this poor boy cannot spell. Or communicate an idea if his life depended on it. And we were “educated” in the same establishment. Huh? Even when nothing happens to me it is ridiculous. What’s a girl to do?
